What can you see on stand at electronica?
On the RS stand at electronica 2014 you can see the latest products, newest software and meet with industry-leading experts.
Meet the designers
Eben Upton – Founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Eben is responsible for the creation of the much-loved Raspberry Pi board.
Visit Eben on Wednesday at 11:00 & 15:00 on the RS stand
Adrian Bowyer – Director of RepRapPro, Adrian invented the open-source RepRap self-replicating 3D printer, giving all engineers access to 3D Printing.
Visit Adrian on Tuesday at 11:00 & 15:00 on the RS stand
Andreas Olofsson – Founder of Adapteva Andreas has been instrumental in creating the Parallella ‘supercomputer’ enabling low cost entry to the world of parallel computing.
Visit Andreas on Thursday at 11:00 & 15:00 on the RS stand
Take a look at our on-stand demos
Red Pitaya – The unique Red Pitaya test and measurement device will feature demonstrations highlighting not only its ability to rival expensive test and measurement instruments but also how it can be configured to deliver bespoke applications. With remote web access for data acquisition the device opens the door to many previously inaccessible opportunities.
Flowcode 6 on Arduino – This great demonstration is all about how Flowcode can be used to program and control an Arduino board which is built in to a ‘6 Degrees of Freedom’ rotating platform (also known as a Stewart Platform). The platform is then controlled by 6 servo motors via Bluetooth from a tablet. You can then see live data direct from the movement of the platform displayed within Flowcode (on the in-built scope and console) as well as the simulation model of the platform which is built in 3D in DesignSpark Mechanical.
Parallella – Within the Parallella demo area you will be able to see this cutting-edge new open-source supercomputer being put through its paces.
Raspberry Pi – This area will feature 2 different Raspberry Pi demonstrations. Demo 1 uses the SparqEE cellular module alongside the Raspberry Pi board, and focuses on queries of three Twitter feeds at a periodic rate and updates the command prompt. Demo 2 highlights the video processing capabilities of the Raspberry Pi board including the Raspberry Pi camera module.
DesignSpark Mechanical – Find all of the newest additions to our 3D direct modelling software.
DesignSpark PCB – Take a look at the newest functionality added to this award-winning software PCB schematics layout software.
DesignShare – This section will highlight the most innovative DesignShare projects, including the Mattel Superman capsule and the Print-a-filter winning design created at the DesignSpark Mechanical challenge.
