Well Friday 31st October was not only Halloween, but also the date we launched a Treat (no Tricks, we promise) with our new My Profile functionality with lots of additional features.
The first thing that you will notice when you go to My Profile (the little icon at the top of the page when you are logged in to DesignSpark) is that we now provide you with much more information, easy access to the key areas for your content and updates when content is updated or if a comment is left against it.
The page has 6 key sections; User Facts, My Content, My Forum Posts, Following, Messages and User Details

User Facts : - Your key information including which DesignSpark tools you have activated to with a link to your DesignSpark PCB activation codes, subscription to the DesignSpark newsletter, a summary of the content that you have created and a link to edit your own profile including your avatar and your message status.
My Content and My Forum Posts : - This gives a summary for the content and forums that you have posted, the number of comments or replies and a link to the edit functionality for each piece of content.
Following : - Each piece of content now has a Follow button, any content that a member follows will be shown right here. When a followed piece of content is updated (by the OP), notification that there has been an Update will be shown here.

If a Followed piece of content receives a comment or reply, since the last time you viewed it, this will then be shown as a New Comment.

Messages : - If you wish to send a private message to another DesignSpark member then you can through messages. Either find the member in the Members section or click their Avatar/ Name to access the profile then connect with that user. When you receive a message this will be shown with Unread in Red, this will turn white once the message is Read

User Details : - This shows the additional information that is shown on a members profile page to other members including Job Role, Language, Country, Biography and Interests. You will also find an edit button if you wish to add or change some of your User Details.
A lot of members pages will look like the one at the top of this page, as you start to add content and follow articles or forum posts, we hope that My Profile will become a hub for all of your activity on DesignSpark
