Join us as we celebrate DesignSpark’s 6th Birthday… all week long!
Six years ago, it all started out with a dream by RS Components to build a community of talented engineers, students and innovators that we could help to shape the future… Today, the DesignSpark community is made up of over 450,000 members from countries all over the world and is still growing each month.
As a community you have created and shared over 10,000 unique blogs and articles on DesignSpark.com, spent countless hours sharing your views, designs and knowledge with each other on our forums and downloaded over 1 million technical documents from our product data library including; 3D models, PCB Schematics, drawings and user guides.
Our continually developed and free CAD software programmes DesignSpark PCB, DesignSpark Mechanical and DesignSpark Electrical have all been launched since 2010 and have been downloaded in excess of 1.8 million times, helping to support our commitmemt to help engineers save both time and money through reducing the barriers of entry to design and rapid prototyping. As a result we're proud to have played a part in bringing some groundbreaking products to market during the past six years including the Pi-Top! They have even helped to launch Superman in to space (well an action figure)!
We would like to thank every single one of you for joining us on this journey so far and we are committed to continuing to provide you with even more resources and support for many more years to come.
So, with this in mind although it may be our birthday, this celebration is for you! And what is a birthday without a party?
We will kick off our online celebration this coming Monday 11th July through to Friday 15th July. Each day via our exclusive DesignSpark Birthday Party Page we’ll provide members with a new and exciting chance to win some freebies.
